7 ways to leverage your newsletter investment

by Steve Slaunwhite

A newsletter can be reused and repurposed in a multitude of ways to boost your marketing results. Here are just a few ideas.

  1. As a press release. Articles, such as a new product story, can be quickly reworked as a press release to business and trade editors.

  2. In other publications. Editors are always looking for new stories. Pull the best ones from your newsletter and submit these for consideration.

  3. On sales calls. A newsletter makes a great door opener... and conversation starter.

  4. In lead management. Newsletters are ideal for sustaining interest in your products and services until prospects are ready to buy.

  5. On your website. Articles help make your site "sticky". Visitors stay longer and learn more about your company and solutions.

  6. At trade shows. A terrific handout. When a visitor to your booth has a question you can say: "This excellent article in our newsletter answers that..."

  7. As a booklet. Combine past newsletter articles into a special report, white paper, how-to-guide or booklet. This can then be used as a website download, a trade show handout or as a free giveaway to boost the response to your ads and direct mailings.
